- Q: Can broken valve springs and defective valve stem seals be replaced without removing the cylinder head in 3.6L V6 engine on Pontiac G6?A: Replacing of broken valve springs and leaking valve stem seals does not need the removal of the cylinder head normally when it necessitates only two particular tools and a supply of compressed air. Start with the spark plugs then follow the upper Intake Manifold, then the valve covers, the camshafts and lastly the Rocker Arms.
