    Q:
How do you remove the hub and bearing assembly from Chevrolet Blazer,S10,GMC Jimmy and Sonoma? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the hub and bearing assembly from a vehicle, start by putting the vehicle in gear, applying the parking brake, and breaking loose the driveaxle/hub nut with a socket and large breaker bar. Then, loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the wheel and the driveaxle/hub nut. Next, unbolt the brake caliper and hang it out of the way with a piece of wire, and remove the brake disc. For models with four-wheel ABS, trace the electrical lead for the wheel speed sensor and unplug the electrical connector. Remove the hub assembly-to-steering knuckle bolts, as well as the brake disc shield and wheel speed sensor assembly. Tap the hub assembly from side-to-side to break it loose from the steering knuckle, and pull it off the end of the driveaxle. If the hub is stuck on the splines, use a puller to free it. To install the hub and bearing assembly, lubricate the driveaxle splines with multi-purpose grease and tighten all of the fasteners.
