How do you remove the fuel tank? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the fuel tank, start by relieving the fuel system pressure and disconnecting the negative battery terminal. Then, raise the vehicle and secure it on jackstands. If necessary, remove the exhaust system underneath the fuel tank. Next, disconnect the EVAP system vent line and the fuel tank filler neck hose clamp. If the tank is not empty, siphon or pump out the remaining fuel. Disconnect the fuel supply line and EVAP purge line quick-connect fittings and remove the fuel tank shield. Support the fuel tank and remove the bolts securing the longitudinal straps. Lower the tank enough to access the fuel pump/fuel level sensor module and the EVAP canister, and disconnect the necessary connections. Finally, lower the tank completely. For installation, simply reverse the removal steps.
