How to replace the heater and air conditioner control assembly?

A special scan tool is required to program the replacement unit if the A/C switch is replaced. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal first. Using a trim stick, remove the center trim panel around the radio, A/C switch on 2015 and earlier 2.0L models and all 2.5L models. Also, remove the center console left and right extension panels. Remove the instrument panel trim plate fasteners, then remove the trim plate from the bottom of the instrument panel and top of the floor console. On 2016 and later 1.5L and 2.0L models, use a trim stick to remove the instrument panel right side center trim panel. Remove A/C switch fasteners on 2015 and earlier 2.0L models and all 2.5L models, then pull out the control unit. Use a trim stick to pry out slightly so as to disengage clips and pull out the control unit on 2016 and later 1.5L & 2.0L models with a tool like this one for heating elements or any other similar device you can get your hands on at home depot then unplug electrical connectors that are located behind your car's playstation controller while taking off screws on either side before removing it completely; finally disconnecting connector cables which attach wires connecting various parts inside console before removing the whole thing itself! Back of the A/C switch has some electrical connectors that must be disconnected before removing back from assemblies such as these ones including screws both sides, after which you can put together by following instructions provided when bought one brand new just like doing anything else in life-like putting pieces where they belong until it looks good enough to satisfy our needs now without anything else being changed or added anywhere onto what already exists within reach because everyone knows how frustratingly hard making stuff look nice could become despite its simplicity yet still requiring some effort on part because otherwise, they would have never come up with these things otherwise making them so complicated.

Q: How to replace the heater and air conditioner control assembly?
A: A special scan tool is required to program the replacement unit if the A/C switch is replaced. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal first. Use a trim stick to pry out slightly so as to disengage clips and pull out the control unit on 2016 and later 1.5L & 2.0L models with a tool like this one for heating elements or any other similar device you can get your hands on at home depot then unplug electrical connectors that are located behind your car's playstation controller while taking off screws on either side before removing it completely; finally disconnecting connector cables which attach wires connecting various parts inside console before removing the whole thing itself!
