Q: How do you remove the A/C Condenser in air conditioning system?
A: To dispose of the air conditioning system, the automotive air conditioning technician should assist in discharging it. All 2.5L models and 2015 and older 2.0L models should take their headlight housings, front bumper cover, bumper impact bar, radiator upper and side air deflector plastic push-pins, air deflectors, upper and lower refrigerant line nuts, and air conditioning refrigerant pressure sensor out. The old sealing O-rings should be thrown away while plugging all open lines and fittings is a must. Unhook the left and right radiator support brackets and lift off the condenser from the radiator at that point. In case of 1.5L and 2.0L models of 2016 or later years, take off lower shutter harness retainer, front bumper cover, upper shutter assembly (if equipped), lower air baffle assembly, plastic push-pin fasteners for radiator upper air baffle assembly, hood release cable and fasteners for radiator air upper baffle assembly. Disconnect the refrigerant lines from condenser as well as the air conditioning refrigerant pressure sensor connector. For 2019 model year vehicles onwards push the transaxle auxiliary cooler inlet line inward slightly then disconnect transmission fluid line to transaxle cooler if equipped. Finally remove condenser from vehicle taking care not to damage fins; discard sealing washers. When installing lubricate new O-rings with compatible refrigerant oil; also use new sealing washers for refrigerant lines. Finally have shop that discharged it evacuate recharge and leak test system again.
