Q: How do I remove and replace the CKP sensor in a Chevrolet Corvette?
A: Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the starter motor. Disconnect the electrical connector from the CKP sensor, which is on the right rear of the engine block. Remove the CKP sensor mounting bolt and remove the CKP sensor. Remove and inspect the sensor O-ring. If it's cut, torn or otherwise deteriorated, replace it. Lubricate the sensor O-ring with clean engine oil. Installation is otherwise the reverse of removal.
