    How do you remove and install the hub and bearing assembly on Cadillac ElDorado and Fleetwood? Posted by Customer

    The vehicle should be raised and the support should be safe. Take off the wheel and tire assembly. For Deville and Fleetwood 1990-93 models, remove brake drum, removing the retaining bolts and hub and bearing assembly from the axle. Be cautious around sensor wires of anti-lock brakes; unplug them if necessary. Tightening bolts to 52 ft.Ibs (70Nm), install hub and bearing assembly with retaining bolts. Reconnect anti-lock brake sensor wire as required. Install brake drum, wheel and tire assembly, then lower vehicle. To remove rear brake caliper on Eldorado and Seville 1990-92 models, slacken parking brake cable at adjuster, lift up end of cable spring to free end of cable from lever, take out bolt and washer attaching cable support bracket to caliper, remove caliper mounting bracket bolts and hang caliper in wheel well with wire. Do not disconnect brake hose or let the caliper hang by the hose. If provided, discard disc brake rotor retainers and take away disc brake rotor . Remove hub mounting bolts then remove hub and bearing assembly . Set hub and bearing assembly on knuckle; install mounting bolts . Tighten to 52 ft.Ibs.(70 Nm). Put disc brake rotor , caliper using all new mounting bracket bolts as well as parking brake cable backing plate. Adjust parking brakes . Put on wheel / tire , lowering vehicle.For 1993-98 Eldorado & Seville, & 1994-98 Deville remove parking brake cable bracket from knuckle . Take out & discard caliper mounting bracket bolts . Suspend the caliper in wheel well using wire . Do not disconnect the brake hose or allow the caliper to hang by the hose . Remove disc brake rotor . Remove hub mounting bolts then take out hub & bearing assembly . Fasten these mounting bolts to 52 ft.Ibs.(70 Nm) . Put on disc brake rotor , caliper using new mounting bracket bolts & parking brake cable bracket. Put on wheel and tire , lowering vehicle.
