    Q:
How do you replace the fuel filter on carbureted gasoline engines for the 1983 Buick Century? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the fuel filter on carbureted gasoline engines, first disconnect the fuel line connection from the larger fuel filter nut using a wrench. Then, remove the larger nut from the carburetor with a box-end wrench or socket. Take out the filter element and spring from the carburetor, and discard the sealing gasket. Check the element for dirt blockage by blowing through the fuel inlet end with low pressure compressed air. Install the new filter and spring in the carburetor opening, using a new sealing gasket for the retainer nut. Attach the fuel line and tighten the connection.
