    Disconnect the negative battery cable, tag and disconnect the electrical harnesses from the blower motor, and if the vehicle is equipped with a plastic splash shield, remove it from the right side of the cowl. Remove the blower motor attaching screws and the motor. The installation is the reverse of removal.

    To take out the blower assembly, firstly disconnect the battery ground cable and remove all wiring and hoses attached to the right-hand fender skirt. Secondly, elevate the vehicle and remove the eight furthest back fender skirt to fender attaching screws. Thirdly, pull outwards and downwards on the fender skirt until a wood block can be placed between it and the fender. Fourthly, remove the blower wheel retaining nut and take off the wheel from the blower. Fifthly, pass the blower through this opening in the fender skirt. Finally, for installation purposes, reverse this removal procedure ensuring that open end of blower wheel is away from motor. For air distribution ducts and core, disconnect battery ground cable and drain radiator. Disconnect heater hoses at core connections and temporarily plug core tubes; nuts from heater distributor studs on engine side of dashpanel are removed; glovebox and door assembly are removed; drill out lower RH distributor stud from beneath dash; pull distributor assembly from dash panel mounting, disconnect bowden cables and resistor wires; remove core assembly from distributor assembly; when installing reverse removal procedures ensuring hose from water pump goes to top heater core pipe; replace drilled out stud with new screw and pall nut. After filling cooling system run engine to check for coolant leaks. To remove control head, disconnect battery ground cable and remove ashtray assembly. Remove six steering column trim panel screws, lower panel & control asy together below cluster bezel Disconnect all cables & wires at control head; remove control head attaching screws & remove control head. To install reverse removal procedure, ensure proper cable operation before completing assembly.
