    A: Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal, ensuring that on models equipped with the Delco LoC II audio system, the lockout feature is turned off before disconnecting the battery. In the engine compartment, remove the plastic firewall covers by taking out the central screw and lifting them off. Disconnect the wires from the blower motor by detaching the wiring harness clip and removing the mounting screws around the perimeter of the blower. Detach the blower motor cooling tube and then remove the blower motor mounting bolts to separate the motor/fan assembly from the housing; on V6 engines, it may be necessary to remove the alternator for better access. Remove the retaining nut and slide the blower off the motor shaft by taking off the nut and slipping the fan off the motor shaft. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
