Q: How to remove and install the front and rear blower motors in Chevrolet Astro?
A: The front blower motor, located on the passenger side firewall, circulates air for the vehicle's heating and air conditioning. To remove it, disconnect the battery's negative terminal, and remove the windshield washer and Coolant Reservoirs. For 1996 and later models, take off the acoustic cover over the motor. Disconnect the motor's electrical and cooling connections, then remove its mounting bolts and withdraw it. Some models require fan removal before motor extraction. Installation is the reverse of removal. For the rear blower, disconnect the battery, remove the auxiliary heater cover, disconnect the motor's electrical connections, remove its bolts, and withdraw it. Installation is the reverse process.
