    To remove the brake light switch, remove the insulation panel and the knee bolster and disconnect the electrical connector at the switch. Remove the switch mounting fastener and remove the switch from the bracket. Install the switch to the bracket and tighten the switch mounting fastener securely.

    To remove the brake light switch, remove the insulator panel, disconnect the wiring connector(s) from the switch, depress the brake pedal, and compress the switch's lock tabs. To install the new switch, ensure that the pedal is at the top of its travel. Apply the brake pedal, release it, and verify that the brake lights go off when the pedal is released. To remove the brake pedal position sensor, disconnect the electrical connector. Installation is the reverse of removal.
