    Q:
How Do I Remove and Install Wiper Arms,Washer Pump and Windshield Wiper on Buick Century? Posted by Customer
    A:
Removal of the wiper arms requires the use of a special tool, G.M. J-8966 or equivalent, which is generally available in auto parts stores. Insert the tool or a screwdriver under the wiper arm and pry the arm off the shaft, being careful not to scratch the paint. Disconnect the Washer Pump hose from the arm (if so equipped) and remove the arm. To install, position the arm over the shaft and press down, making sure to install the arms in the same position on the windshield as they were when they were removed. Raising the hood on most later models will facilitate easier wiper arm removal.

    Q:
How do you detach and replace the windshield wiper motor,Wiper Switch and washer pump on Chevrolet Beretta? Posted by Customer
    A:
Detach the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, ensuring that on models equipped with the Delco Loe II audio system, the lockout feature is turned off before disconnecting the battery. Unplug the electrical connectors from the windshield wiper motor and washer pump, and detach the windshield washer fluid hoses from the pump. Disconnect the connector for the windshield washer fluid line at the wiper blade, then pop off the windshield wiper blade cap over the nut and remove the nut using a screwdriver. To remove the left windshield wiper blade assembly, use a small battery post puller or pry the blade off with a screwdriver, taking care not to damage it. Remove the four plastic pop fasteners from the left vent grille and take off the grille, being cautious as these fasteners can break easily. Next, remove the nut fastening the transmission linkage arm to the motor shaft and detach the linkage from the motor. Remove the motor mounting bolts, which consist of three bolts, and take out the motor. If replacing the motor, switch the washer pump to the new motor. For installation, follow the reverse order of removal. If only replacing the windshield washer pump, remove the small locking clip with a screwdriver and pull the pump from the bottom of the motor. To access the windshield wiper switch assembly, pop it loose from the dash with a small screwdriver and pull it out far enough to unplug the electrical connector, with installation following the reverse order of removal.
