Remove the glove box and right side kick panel if necessary. On older models, disconnect the ECM wiring connectors and remove the bolt from the right side of the instrument panel. Pull out the corner of the instrument panel for clearance. Remove the blower mounting screws and withdraw the motor and fan. On 1988-1991 models, the fan can be removed from the motor shaft after unscrewing the nut. For 1992 and later models, remove the plastic tip at the end of the motor shaft and use a puller or press to remove the fan from the motor shaft. When reinstalling the fan, leave a clearance of 0.22 inch between the fan and the motor mount plate.
