Fog Light Bulbs are installed in the Saturn LS1 vehicles to help the drivers to have proper visibility particularly during foggy, rainy or snowy occasions. These bulbs are invariably installed low down on the car, they emit a broad beam directed close to the road to reduce lights and increase vision. Since its production, Saturn LS1 has used different types of fog light bulbs, the normal Halogen bulbs and advanced ones. The Halogen bulbs though efficient are known to fade off and it is recommended that they are replaced in sets. For prolonged Durability, LED bulbs also come with the improved amount of illumination, a variety of color temperatures as compared to upgraded Halogen bulbs. Saturn LS1 Fog Light Bulb Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How do you replace the Fog Light Bulb on Saturn LS1?
A: When turning the front turn signal bulbs, the hood should be opened and the amber lens front turn signal should be looked for; it is the outer bulb socket. Pull out the socket by unscrewing it anti-clockwise, and pull the bulb in a manner perpendicular with respect to the direction of the socket. For the front sidemarker bulbs, there is a socket within an amber lens housing that is located at the front corners of the vehicle; if further access is required, the housing can be pulled forward at the frontmost edge. Twist the socket in the anticlockwise direction a quarter turn and pull it out and pull the bulb in the same way. Fog light bulbs, if available, are at the lower edges of the front bumper housing and can be removed from below; lift the car safely, twist the base anti-clockwise, holding it down and pull to remove. Pull out the electrical connector from the bulb and for the bulb simply twist and pull it off the socket. To replace the center-mount brake light bulbs, being by finding the assembly inside of the vehicle, retract the trim lid, and then twist the bulb socket counter clockwise to remove it. The bulb is actually permanently attached to the base so that both should be replaced together. Regarding brake, tail, turn and back up light bulbs, open the trunk or the lift gate, unscrew the trim panel then turn the socket anti-clockwise. Switch off the item and wait for some time until it is cool enough the output shaft then rotate it 1/8 clockwise so as to pull out the bulb, when replacing the bulb make sure that the locator pins are lined up. License plate light bulbs can be replaced by removing the screws which is holding the lens of the license plate then pulling down the assembly to reveal the bulb. In the case of dome light assemblies pry off the lens, pull the bulb by the contacts, and reassemble in reverse.
