Q: How to remove the air filter duct and filter housing on Buick Enclave,Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia?
A: To remove the air intake duct first take off the PCV fresh air hose from the valve cover. At this point, loosen clamps at the Throttle Body and air filter box then lift off the duct. To remove the air filter box relieve fuel system pressure first and disconnect electrical connector from MAF sensor. Loosen clamp and detach duct from air filter box. Remove the hood release cable mounting clip as well as air filter box cover and filter element. The fuel supply line is disconnected from Fuel Rail while EVAP line is disconnected from purge solenoid. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is released from bracket and moved aside away from air filter box. Finally, remove fastener that mounts air filter box then lift off box. The reverse of removal steps will be followed during installation process.
