Remove any debris from the top side of the lifter valley before installing the new valance and maintain cleanliness throughout the buildup process by covering the lifts with shop rags, It is recommended to inspect the mating faces of the valve for any damages before embarking on the buildup process and repair if there are some damages. Prior to that, drinking a tap on the threads in the head bolt holes is necessary, after that install a new gasket on the dowel pins with the right side up. Ensure that the head is very gently put back on to the block without damaging the gasket, use new cylinder head bolts, tighten them as per the pattern to the prescribed torque, and then turn each bolt by the required degree. At last, perform the other steps of the installation in a sequence opposite to the removal, replace the engine oil and filter and fill the coolant.
