Q: How do you remove and replace the interior ventilation filter in Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain?
A: For the models of 2009 and earlier: Within the passenger side cowl area, there is a cabin air filter. Take off the cowl cover. By removing fasteners that hold the filter cover and removing it, take off filter cover. Pull out the tab to pull out the filter from its case straight up. Install the air inlet and filter back into cowl then reinstall weatherstriping. For 2010 and later models: First remove the glove box. Lower door by rotating retaining clips on clips and opening filter door until it is securely latched with door clips in place. Next, pull exhale or inhale filters out of housing by pulling exhaled or inhaled filters out of housing. Slide Filter back into Housing, Close Door And Replace Fasteners The rest of installation is reverse of removal.
