A: Start by removing the heater matrix, disconnecting the negative battery terminal from the cable and allowing all of the coolant to be drained off. Further, disconnect the heater hoses from the firewall at core pipes and plug them to prevent spilling of coolant. Next, remove the whole dashboard and detach control cable from shifter. Now press tabs on cable clip and then free it at shifter lever. Remove all wiring from shift assembly and unbolt shifter to expose heater core. After that, pull out front ducts of heater unit as well as cover for heater core. Puncture smaller plastic cap on both sides of heat exchanger tubes.Remove large plastic cowling over dash board (to get access). Try pulling it by its end tank now in order to finally remove a car's heater core from its place. For the second removal method, , allow an air conditioning technician to discharge and recover refrigerant from the system first Disconnect cable supplying power into negative battery terminal then let water circulate through radiator completely removed The retaining nut is then unscrewed so as to separate a setup made by a fluid line Disconnect hose pipes linked with a cooling device located inside passenger's compartment where you need them plugged up too Remove washers which are supposed to fix both A/C unit & IP bracket As soon as gearshift mechanism has been unfastened it is essential not only untie some wires but also take them away Nuts holding down this block can be found attaching it atop lever thus give those nuts off Take off windshield defroster duct assembly along with center floor distribution These mounting screws are used to attach HVAC module & instrument panel support while other mounts may still exist Unplug electrical connectors serving blower fan/motor circuitry (beneath) plus any others Check whether glove box can be opened freely since there will be no electric wires connected between box top part and central unit Have someone push out AC/Heater assembly till uncovered heater coil becomes visible. The final step is pulling out the unit in which the heater core is fitted. To reinstall, simply reverse the removal steps and refill the cooling system.
