Chevrolet Cruze Coolant Reservoir

The Coolant Reservoir is an assembly fitted in the Chevrolet Cruze engine cooling system with a purpose of containing the coolant to prevent it from spilling and at the same time there should not be any air within the reservoir. It helps to shield the system from oxidation and corrosion by sharp air and leakage of dangerous antifreeze. There are two main types of Coolant Reservoirs used in Cruze vehicles: An overflow tank system and an expansion tank system are the two commonly used systems in automobiles, each having distinct techniques of regulating the level of coolant and pressure. It is advised that it should be inspected more frequently for potential cracks, more evident leaks as well as ideal deterioration due to its age and heat cycles.

Each OEM Chevrolet Cruze Coolant Reservoir we offer is competitively priced and comes with the assurance of the manufacturer's warranty for the part. Furthermore, we guarantee the speedy delivery of your orders right to your doorstep. Our hassle-free return policy is also in place for your peace of mind.

Chevrolet Cruze Coolant Reservoir Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How do you remove the expansion tank?
A: To remove the coolant reservoir, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal. Then, raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Drain approximately 1.4 quarts (1.5 liters) of coolant, ensuring that the coolant level is lower than that of the reservoir. Disconnect the hoses from the reservoir and remove the retaining clip from the left side of the reservoir. Slide the reservoir forward to detach it from the mounting tangs, then lift it up and disconnect the electrical connector from the coolant level sensor on the bottom of the reservoir. To install the coolant reservoir, simply reverse the removal steps. Finally, refill the cooling system.
