How to remove and replace battery cables on Chevrolet Cruze?

In order to keep from shorting the battery with a tool used to loosen cable clamps, it is important to disconnect the cables in reverse order; the negative first and positive last. This is important even when only changing the positive terminal cable; always start by removing the negative cable from battery. First you should disconnect old wires from battery, then follow each one of them to their other ends and unplug it. Remember well how each wire is located before detaching it so as to get a correct installation later on. Connect the earth strap to its mate on this particular point first and then attach a new lead to its counterpart at '+'.
