Begin by disconnecting the battery, cable from the negative terminal, and then remove the 4.3L V6, 5.3L and 6.2L V8 engines. Next, drain the coolant and take off the plastic cover that goes over the radiator support. Thereafter, detach the cooling fan shroud and loosen the surge tank hose at both radiator and surge tank. Also, separate and draw away the upper radiator hose together with headlight housings.
