Q: How to replace the Power Steering Pressure (PSP) switch for Cadillac DeVille and DTS?
A: The Power Steering Pressure (PSP) switch is mounted on the steering gear. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Raise the front of the vehicle and place it securely on jackstands. Disconnect the electrical connector from the PSP switch. Position a suitable drain pan below the switch to catch any fluid draining from the steering gear. Using a wrench, unscrew the switch from the steering gear. Before installing the PSP switch, wrap the threads with Teflon tape to prevent leaks. Installation is the reverse of removal. Bleed air from the power steering system. Add power steering fluid as required.
