Buick Enclave Parking Brake Shoe

The Parking Brake Shoe used in Buick Enclave cars is the component that due to engagements, locks the wheels and immobilizes the car when parked. In this way probably by applying the brake lining against the drum wall the Parking Brake Shoe is able to lock the wheels and prevent them from revolving. There could be disparity in the type or kind of Parking Brake Shoe in use in some models of Enclave or the style in use may slightly differ but the basic role of the component; to stop the car from moving when parked, remains the same across all models.

Each OEM Buick Enclave Parking Brake Shoe we offer is competitively priced and comes with the assurance of the manufacturer's warranty for the part. Furthermore, we guarantee the speedy delivery of your orders right to your doorstep. Our hassle-free return policy is also in place for your peace of mind.

Buick Enclave Parking Brake Shoe Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Remove and Install parking brake shoe?
A: To remove the rear brakes, start by loosening the wheel lug nuts and raising the rear of the vehicle on jackstands. Remove both rear wheels, but finish one side completely before disassembling the other. Next, remove the caliper bracket and the Brake Disc. Adjust the parking brake shoes inward to allow the disc to be removed. Place a drain pan under the wheel being worked on and wash the parking brake assembly with brake system cleaner. Remove the upper return spring and adjuster wheel assembly, and then remove the front shoe hold-down spring and spread the shoes apart to remove both shoes and the lower return spring. On earlier models, remove the rear shoe and lower return spring, then release the front shoe hold-down spring and remove the front shoe. Clean the backing plate and apply high-temperature brake grease to the areas where the brake shoes contact. To install, reverse the removal steps, making sure to rotate the star wheel of the adjuster assembly and properly seat the brake shoes in the brake actuator. Finally, adjust the parking brakes and tighten the wheel lug nuts to the proper torque.
