Buick Enclave Camshaft Position Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace a left-side CMP sensor on Buick Enclave,Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia?
A: Four CMP sensors are located on the cylinder heads' front. To replace a left-side sensor, drain the engine coolant, support the engine with a floor jack, remove the engine mount strut, bracket, radiator inlet hose, and power steering reservoir bolts. Move the reservoir aside, disconnect the CMP sensor connector, remove the sensor mounting bolt and the sensor. Reinstall in reverse order and refill the cooling system if drained.
