    Q:
How do you clean the Fuel Tank? Posted by Customer
    A:
The fuel tank is made of plastic and cannot be repaired, therefore, can only be replaced. If there is a need to remove sediment from the bottom of the tank, it is recommended to have the fuel tank steam-cleaned. Prior to cleaning, the fuel pump/level sensor module and all EVAP system components should be removed. It is important to allow ample time for the tank to air-dry before it is returned to service.

What other components should be disconnected before removing the fuel tank of the 2008 Pontiac G6? Posted by Customer
    A:
The EVAP recirculation hose and the electrical connector from the EVAP canister should be disconnected. The quick-connect fittings for the fuel and EVAP lines should also be disconnected. If necessary, the rear stabilizer bar should be disconnected.
