To remove the A/C switch assembly, disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the screws from the steering column trim cover, and remove the knobs from the heater control and radio. Remove the screws from the front of the control panel and pull the control panel assembly from the instrument panel. For 1978-1980 models, remove the glove box and disconnect the electrical connectors at the blower motor to remove the blower assembly. To remove the heater core, disconnect the negative battery cable, drain the cooling system, disconnect the heater hoses and the electrical connectors at the blower motor, and remove the front module cover screws.
