How do I remove front Wheel Hub for Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the front suspension on all models except 2010 and later models with RPO GNB, first loose the driveaxle/hub nut as well as the wheel lug nuts, afterwards lift up the car at its front until it is supported by jackstands. Remove the wheel and, if equipped, disconnect and detach ABS wheel-speed sensor electrical connector. Remove driveaxle/hub nut and brake caliper, caliper mounting bracket, and brake disc from hub. Next take off the hub/bearing assembly mounting bolts from behind steering knuckle throw them away. If necessary use a puller to draw hub and bearing assembly off in case driveaxle splines stick in hub. For installation see to it that both inner mount surface of steering knuckle and driveaxle splines are smooth without burrs or nicks here apply multi-purpose grease on driveshaft axles then push the bearing assembly down fully along into steering knuckle up to when you feel it seating properly after what tighten new set of these ones securing this assembly to steering knuckle by specified torque values. Connect wheel speed sensor harness connector where applicable fasten it at its bracket then insert but do not completely tighten drive shaft axle nut now add brake rotor caliper support bracket or even caliper making sure fasteners meet torque specifications provided herein above again bolt on wheel as well as lug nuts lower vehicle taking out jack stands finally make sure that you tighten properly rear end axle nut together with tire fastening bolts onto recommended torque values for 2010 and later models having RPO GNB front suspensions follow identical initial action items such as loosening drive shaft axle nut plus lug nuts supporting automobile using jackstands only lift these jack stands by jacking beam without resting your vehicle's beams onto them remove tyre before pulling out front suspension yoke itself coupled with steering knuckle from their places here unscrew ahead primarily used to keep wheels turning out further thus attaching those onto knuckle fasten with new ones tightening these by given torque specs hence insert steering yoke as well as front link into their actual position.

    Q:
How do you remove the front hub and bearing assembly on Cadillac DeVille and DTS? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the hub and bearing assembly, start by applying the parking brake and blocking the rear wheels. Remove the hubcap or wheel cover and loosen the driveaxle/hub nut. Loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the front of the vehicle, and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the wheel and the brake caliper, and hang it out of the way with wire. Disconnect the ABS speed sensor electrical connector. Remove the driveaxle/hub nut by inserting a prybar through the caliper inspection window and into the cooling vanes of the brake disc to hold the hub stationary while removing the nut. Pull the brake disc off the hub. Attach a puller to the hub flange and tighten it just enough to push the driveaxle in a little, breaking loose the splines from the hub. Remove the hub retaining bolts, either through the opening in the hub flange or from the back side of the steering knuckle. Wiggle the hub and bearing assembly back and forth and pull it out of the steering knuckle, along with the brake disc shield if equipped. If the hub and bearing assembly are being replaced with a new one, it is recommended to replace the dust seal in the back of the steering knuckle. To replace the seal, disconnect the stabilizer bar and the balljoint from the control arm and pull the steering knuckle and strut assembly off the driveaxle stub shaft. Pry the seal out of the knuckle with a screwdriver.

    Q:
How do I remove and install a front hub/bearing assembly on Chevrolet Impala and Monte Carlo? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the hub/bearing assembly, start by loosening the wheel lug nuts and raising the front of the vehicle on jackstands. Remove the wheel and disconnect the ABS wheel speed sensor electrical connector, if applicable. Take off the driveaxle/hub nut and then remove the brake caliper, caliper mounting bracket, and brake disc from the hub. Next, remove the hub/bearing assembly mounting bolts from the back of the steering knuckle and discard them. Finally, remove the hub/bearing assembly from the steering knuckle. To install the hub/bearing assembly, ensure that the mounting surfaces are smooth and free of any damage. Lubricate the driveaxle splines with multi-purpose grease and then fully seat the hub/bearing assembly onto the steering knuckle. Use new mounting bolts to secure the assembly to the knuckle, tightening them to the correct torque specifications. For ABS-equipped vehicles, connect the wheel speed sensor harness connector and secure it to its bracket. Install the brake disc, caliper mounting bracket, and caliper, tightening the fasteners to the proper torque values. Install the driveaxle/hub nut and tighten it to the correct torque specifications. Finally, install the wheel and lug nuts, remove the jackstands, and lower the vehicle. Tighten the lug nuts to the proper torque specifications.
