    Q:
How to remove and replace the ignition control module in Chevrolet Cobalt,HHR and Saturn ION? Posted by Customer
    A:
Turn the ignition key to OFF and disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition control module and remove the mounting screws for 2006 and earlier 2.2L models. Remove the module and the interconnect. Pull the module straight up to remove it and disconnect the interconnect from the module. The interconnect is an adapter plug connecting the module to the coil pack assembly. Pay attention to the plug's orientation as it only fits one way. Installation is the reverse of removal.

    Q:
How to remove and install the ignition control module on Saturn Vue? Posted by Customer
    A:
Make sure that the ignition switch is Off. Remove the air intake duct and any interfering brackets, etc. Disconnect the wiring from the ignition control module by disconnecting the electrical connector and removing the mounting screws from the ignition control module. Remove the three mounting screws and pull the module straight up. To remove the interconnect, disconnect it from the module and plug it into the new module (four-cylinder models). Transfer the interconnect from the old module to the new one. Make sure that the square end of the interconnect is aligned properly and that the rubber seal is in good condition- if it's not, replace it. Installation is the reverse of removal.
