Chevrolet HHR Ignition Control Module Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and replace the ignition control module in Chevrolet Cobalt,HHR and Saturn ION?
A: Turn the ignition key to OFF and disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition control module and remove the mounting screws for 2006 and earlier 2.2L models. Remove the module and the interconnect. Pull the module straight up to remove it and disconnect the interconnect from the module. The interconnect is an adapter plug connecting the module to the coil pack assembly. Pay attention to the plug's orientation as it only fits one way. Installation is the reverse of removal.
