How to remove and install Fuel Injector and Idle Control Valve in Model 300 Throttle Body Injection? Posted by Customer
    A:
The throttle body can be replaced without removing it from the intake manifold or fully disassembling it. First off, reduce the fuel pressure and separate the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Get rid of air cleaner housing assembly, adapter, and gaskets. Then take apart fuel meter cover and injector by unscrewing fuel meter cover retaining screws and removing injector electrical connector. Carefully open up the injector from the fuel meter body; then remove if necessary for cleaning. Remove old gasket and cleanse out the entire fuel meter body. Take apart this unit by taking away small O-ring as well as fuel filter. In case of any malfunctioning with a fuel injector, never try to fix it; just replace it with a new one.The new clean small O-ring should be lubricated before pushing it in over nozzle end of injector.Install steel backup washer and lubricate new large O-ring prior to placing on top of backup washer.Put injector into position while making sure that it is completely seated within product cavity of metering.Replace old gaskets with brand-new ones followed by dust seal which can be held in place through thread locking compound. Now connect electrical connector to an outlet valve then reassemble an air cleaner.Idle air control (IAC) valve requires removal of its electrical connector then use wrench for removing valve.Measuring distance extended by valve will help you make adjustments where necessary.Supplied gasket should be fitted once entirely cleaned before plugging in electrical connector.Start engine once again after replacing air cleaner. As for throttle position sensor (TPS), unscrew Torx screws and disengage TPS.Putting new TPS means ensuring that lever slips into slot on throttle body.Re-install this air cleaner assembly so that cable is attached back to negative terminal on battery.Fuel leaks must be checked using ignition switch turned on but not engine itself being switched on because they are dangerous when motor vehicle is driven around all other road users including pedestrians.

    Q:
How can you check the TPS output for the 1991 Chevrolet Astro? Posted by Customer
    A:
For a non-adjustable TPS output check, connect a digital voltmeter from center terminal "8" to outside terminal "A" of the TPS connector. With the ignition on and the engine off, the TPS voltage should be less than 1.25 volts. If the voltage exceeds specifications, replace the TPS.

    Q:
How do you replace the fuel pressure regulator for the 1998 Chevrolet K1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the fuel pressure regulator, first, remove the ignition coil and upper intake manifold. Detach the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator and remove the snap-ring retaining the regulator to the fuel rail. Place a rag under the regulator to collect fuel spillage, then twist and pull it out of the fuel rail. Remove the O-rings from the regulator and install new ones in the correct order. Insert the regulator into the fuel rail and install the snap ring, ensuring it is fully engaged in the groove. Verify the installation by pulling on the regulator. The remainder of the installation is the reverse of removal. Turn the ignition On and check for fuel leaks.

    Q:
What exactly am I getting? I just want the injector, not the whole TBI assembly. Your images selected for this item are not indicative of what it is... a line drawing of a TBKI assembly, something that looks like a pill bottle with something in it, and an injector with rings... Pick ONE (1) image and stick with it. I am compiling a spreadsheet of parts and costs for my vehicle but this type of lax display makes it hard for me to choose and recommend your for anything I can find anywhere else and just use you for what no one else has available.
