    Q:
How to remove the air conditioning Compressor? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the air conditioning system, start by discharging the system and disconnecting the battery cable. Thoroughly clean the compressor around the refrigerant line fittings and remove the serpentine drive belt. Disconnect the electrical connector from the compressor and raise the vehicle on stands. Disconnect the suction and discharge lines from the compressor, plugging the open fittings to prevent dirt and moisture entry. Remove the compressor-to-front-bracket bolts and nuts and pull the compressor up from the engine compartment. For installation, if a new compressor is being used, transfer the oil from the old compressor and add the same amount of new refrigerant oil. Follow any included directions for the new compressor. Install the new compressor by reversing the disassembly steps, using new seals when connecting the line fittings. Reconnect the battery cable and have the system evacuated, recharged, and leak tested.
