    How to remove and install a Compressor or Refrigerant Line Mounted Switch for Buick Century,Regal? Posted by Customer
    A:
    To replace the compressor-mounted switch, disconnect the negative battery cable and discharge the A/C system. Remove the coupled hose at the compressor rear and unplug the electrical connector. Using snap-ring pliers, remove the switch retaining ring. Remove the switch, discard the O-ring. Lubricate a new O-ring with refrigerant oil and insert it into the switch cavity. Lubricate and insert the switch. Secure with the retaining snap-ring. Reconnect the electrical connector and coupled hose with new O-rings. Reconnect the battery, tighten it to 11 ft. lbs., then evacuate, recharge, and test the system. Reset electronic devices like radio and clock. To replace the refrigerant line-mounted switch, disconnect the battery and unplug the electrical connector.

(15 Nm), evacuate, charge and leak test the system, and reset the radio, clock and any other applicable electronic devices.
