    Q:
How do you remove the stabilizer bar links, stabilizer bar bushing and stabilizer bar on Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
To take down the sway bar kit, first slacken the back wheel lug bolts and obstruct the front wheels to stop the vehicle from moving. After that, lift up the rear end of the car and sustain it firmly on jack stands before removing its back wheels. Then separate rear section of exhaust pipe and parking brake cables from trailing arms. Remove coil springs without unjoining brake calipers from brake hoses. Indicate location of subframe onto chassis and hold subframe with two jacks beneath it. Get rid of all subframe mounting bolts and lower it a little so as to easily reach sway bar kit bracket bolts. Unfasten sway bar links from bar and remove sway bar kit checking if there are any signs of trouble with sway bar bushings. Damaged ones need replacement in case they are damaged by sway bar bushings. Sway bar kit installation requires lubricating them with vegetable oil, replacing all suspension fasteners with new ones, tightening them according to torque specifications properly then finally secure proper torque specifications for brake fasteners and wheel lug nuts.
