    To remove the refrigerant, the first step is to have it discharged and recovered. Then, the left headlight housing needs to be removed. Next, the A/C accumulator nuts should be removed from the condenser and refrigerant lines, and all open ports should be sealed to prevent contamination. The A/C accumulator can then be lifted out by removing the clamp mounting bolt. On certain models, such as 2008 and later, the front bumper cover or air baffle may need to be removed as well. To install, new O-ring seals should be placed onto the A/C accumulator fittings, with a thin layer of refrigerant oil applied to the seals. If a new A/C accumulator is being installed, 1 ounce of fresh refrigerant oil should be added. The A/C accumulator should be securely mounted using the proper torque specifications. Finally, the system should be evacuated, charged, and leak tested by a professional.
