    To remove the brake pads, loosen the lug nuts, remove the wheels, and inspect the brake disc. Depress the pistons into the caliper. Next, remove the caliper mounting bracket bolts and detach the caliper and brake pads from the steering knuckle, and hang the caliper. Remove the outer brake pad, separate the mounting bracket, and remove the pad retainers.
