    A:
For installation, the mating surfaces should be cleaned, old sealant or gasket material should be removed using a gasket scraper and lacquer thinner or acetone, and any debris from the intake ports or lifter valley should be removed using a vacuum cleaner. The threads in the bolt holes should be chased if necessary, and a bead of ATV sealant or equivalent should be applied to the front and rear ridges of the engine block. The intake manifold gasket, pushrods, and rocker arms should be installed. The manifold should be carefully lowered into place and the mounting bolts/nuts should be installed finger tight. The mounting bolts/nuts should be tightened in three steps, working from the center out in a crisscross pattern.
