To replace the front mount, relieve tension by raising the engine slightly. Then, remove the engine mount-to-engine block bolts and the through-bolt before taking out the mount. Install the new mount with through-bolts and nuts, followed by the engine mount-to-engine block bolts, ensuring they are torqued to specifications.

Inspect the mounts for cracked, hardened rubber or separation from the metal plates. Check for movement between the mount plates and the engine or frame using a large screwdriver or pry bar; if movement is detected, lower the engine and tighten the mount fasteners.

For replacement, disconnect the negative battery cable and raise the vehicle on jackstands if not already done. Ensure that the Theftlock audio system's lockout feature is turned off before disconnecting the battery. Remove the engine torque strut, then raise the engine slightly with a jack or hoist, removing the fasteners to detach the mount from the frame. Next, remove the mount-to-block bracket bolts or nuts and detach the mount.

Start by removing the through-bolt and nut. Then, raise the engine slightly using a hoist or jack with a wood block under the oil pan, and remove the mount and bracket assembly from the frame. Install the new mount along with the through-bolt and nut, ensuring all bolts are tightened to the specified torque.

Raise the engine slightly with a jack or hoist, install an engine support, remove the fasteners, and detach the mount from the frame bracket. Remove the mount-to-block bracket bolts/nuts and detach the mount.

To check the mounts, the engine must be raised slightly to relieve weight from them. Begin by raising the vehicle and securely supporting it on jack stands, then position a jack under the engine oil pan with a large block of wood in between. Carefully raise the engine just enough to take the weight off the mounts, ensuring no part of the body is placed under the engine when it is only supported by a jack. Inspect the mount insulators for movement; if any is noted, lower the engine and tighten the mount fasteners. Applying rubber preservative to the insulators can help slow deterioration.

For replacement, disconnect the negative battery cable, ensuring that the lockout feature of the Theft lock audio system is turned off if applicable. Remove the through-bolt from the engine bracket end of the upper mount strut and rotate the strut out of the way. Slightly raise the engine with a jack or hoist, then remove the fasteners to detach the mount from the frame bracket, followed by removing the mount-to-block bracket bolts or nuts.
