- A:To remove the fuel tank pressure sensor, take out the fuel tank, disconnect the connector, and remove the sensor from the fuel pump module. To remove the EVAP canister, raise the vehicle, remove the fuel tank, disconnect the connector and hoses from the canister on top of the tank, and remove the retainer and the canister. - A:EVAP Purge Solenoid Valve Removal involves removing the engine cover, disconnecting the electrical connector from the valve, disconnecting the hose, unscrewing the bolt and removing the purge valve from the upper intake manifold. Installation is simply the reverse of removal. For EVAP Canister Removal, raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Then, disconnect the hoses from the canister, disconnect the electrical connector from the canister vent solenoid valve, remove the fasteners securing the canister, and remove the canister.
