    Q:
How do you remove the fuel injectors and Fuel Rail? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the fuel injectors, start by relieving the fuel system pressure and equalizing the tank pressure by taking off the fuel filler cap. Then, disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and the fuel line from the fuel rail. On V6 models, remove the upper intake manifold and the bolt of mounting bracket for fuel injector harness to disengage injector harness from manifold. Disconnecting electrical connectors from Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor and Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor are next. In case of V8 models, pull off some electrical connectors such as alternator, electronic throttle body and injectors. Disconnect ignition coils and fuel injectors' electric plugs then detach bolts that attach a fuel rail to it. Separately take out each injector by lifting up an assembly consisting of them along with a common rail from a collector carefully. Each retainer should be removed after which old rings should finally be thrown away.Remember to apply clean engine oil to lubricate new rings before putting everything back together again. To install , follow steps done in removal but ensure tightening of your mounting bolts on your fuel rail .Lastly turn on your engine while checking any leakages related with petrol leakage or injection systems themselves.
