- A:Now remove the windshield wiper motor by prying off the windshield wiper trim caps and removing the retaining nuts and washers. Mark where each wiper arm is in relation to its shaft, then take them off. Next, remove the cowl cover and disconnect the electrical connector of the motor. Remove mounting bolts that secure a motor as well as linkage assembly to a cowl and then lift it out of that area. Pry linkage from a crank arm of a motor also removing an actuator arm from its shaft. Finally, remove mounting screws for motors together with motors themselves. To install, repeat all steps in reverse order while aligning marks made on an actuator arm, motor shafts as well as wiper arms or rather wiper arm shafts. For rear wiper motor, first get rid of trim cap and retaining nut situated at wipers' arms; mark position occupied by this rod concerning your engine's propeller; withdraw it. After removing liftgate trim panel and detaching electrical fitting of engine one must consequently do away with fasteners holding it up.
