Q:
What Are the Cruise Control Systems Components and Operation of Cruise Control Module,Cruise Control Servo and Cruise Control Switch for Buick Century and Regal? Posted by Customer
A:
Cruise control maintains a set vehicle speed in normal driving conditions. It mainly uses vacuum to run a throttle servo, overseen by the Cruise Control Module (CCM). Features include cruise, coast, resume/accelerate, and "tap up/down" speed adjustments. Activation typically starts above 25 mph (40 kph). Key components are mode switches, CCM, servo unit, Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS), vacuum supply, release switches, and harnesses. The system retains vacuum at the set position, with the controller managing three vehicle/system states. Components include the vacuum servo, EMC Controller/Actuator, Electronic Module, and VSS, supplemented by a Vacuum Accumulator for consistent performance.

How do I remove the brake light switch on Chevrolet Astro and GMC Safari? Posted by Customer
A:
Take away the brake light switch on models that were made in 1994 and beyond by unplugging the cable from the negative pole of the battery. Then, if necessary take off side knee bolster for a driver. After that undo the retainer holding brake switch and master cylinder push rod to brake pedal. Remove brake light switch and master cylinder push rod from brake pedal, also disconnect electrical connector from switch. Finally pull out the switch out of your automobile. Fit over a slave cylinder pushrod and secure to the pedal using a retaining clip as you install this type of machine on it first. Connect harness electrical connector into it. The rest installation steps are same as removal method but in reverse order. The self-adjusting nature of this kind of switch means there is no need for any adjustment . Check operation of brake lights after fitting, please .
