- A:Four CMP sensors are located on the cylinder heads' front. To replace a left-side sensor, drain the engine coolant, support the engine with a floor jack, remove the engine mount strut, bracket, radiator inlet hose, and power steering reservoir bolts. Move the reservoir aside, disconnect the CMP sensor connector, remove the sensor mounting bolt and the sensor. - A:To remove the camshaft position sensor 3.0L and 3.6L V6 engines have four camshaft sensors. If replacing the CMP sensor on the right side, remove the air filter housing. For the left side replacement on 2013 and later 3.6L models, remove the front engine mount. Installation is the reverse of removal. The 2.4L four-cylinder engine has two camshaft sensors, the intake camshaft position sensor located below the fuel pump, and the exhaust camshaft sensor located at the corner of the cylinder head above the exhaust manifold.
