Saturn Vue Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor

The IAT Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor used in Saturn Vue vehicles contributes immensely to its performance since the device measures the temperature of the air incoming into the engine. This information is then communicated to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) which in turns adjusts the fuel injector firings to achieve the necessary air/fuel mixture ratio for optimum combustion. There may have been slightly different variations of Intake Manifold Temperature Sensors used in Saturn Vue models at different times along with variations in calibration due to performance enhancements. For instance, if the sensors known as Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor becomes faulty, the acceleration of the vehicle may be poor, the air/fuel mixture may be wrong and it may lead to turning on of CHECK ENGINE light. It is therefore necessary that the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor should work properly for the optimal performance of the Saturn Vue.

Each OEM Saturn Vue Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor we offer is competitively priced and comes with the assurance of the manufacturer's warranty for the part. Saturn Vue Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How do you remove and replace the IAT sensor on Saturn Vue?
A: First of all, the key should be taken out from the ignition lock cylinder. The Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on four-cylinder cars is placed in the intake air duct; it requires a disconnected electrical connector from the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor before twisting and pulling it off the air duct. Inspect the rubber grommet and if damaged it needs to be replaced, as for the installation it is the reverse of the removal process. On the 2002 and 2003 V6 models, the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor is actually integrated into the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. On 2004 and later V6 models, the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor is located on the front side of the air filter housing, unplugging the electrical connector and removing the sensor from the housing, checking the condition of the rubber grommet and replacing if necessary with reinstallation being the opposite of the removal process. Also, there is the other Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor located by the throttle body; pull the wiring harness connector using the button on the connector top, then unscrew the sensor from the intake manifold. Replace and throw away the previous Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor O-ring and install a new one and make sure it is well fixed by tightening the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor.
