Saturn LS Radiator fan Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and install the cooling fans in Saturn LS and LS1?
A: These vehicles are equipped with a puller fan and a pusher fan. They are regulated by a fan control module and the PCM. They are protected by Radiator fan #1 and Radiator fan #2 fuses. If the engine is overheating and the radiator fan is not coming on, check the fan motor. If the fan motor is working but not coming on, the relay may be defective. To remove the puller fan, unplug the battery, lift the module, and remove the battery. Disconnect the connectors and harness clips. Remove the mounting bolts and remove it. To remove the pusher fan, disconnect the battery and electrical connectors. Raise the vehicle and remove the mounting bolts. Lower the top section of the pusher fan shroud and remove it.
