Saturn LS Door Latch Assembly

The Door Latch Assembly in Saturn LS vehicles play a major role for the safety of the vehicle by locking the doors to avoid easy access to the interiors of the car. This assembly can be operated manually or automatically and provides for the selection of locking possibilities either individually or in central mode to guarantee its use and safety when closing the doors. Originally, the Door Latch Assembly is built for long-term usage, however, it does face replacement because of the general wear and tear which might manifest in such difficulties as a broken outer door handle or a sticking mechanism that restricts door operation. Proper maintenance should always be observed especially on the latch so as to guarantee the efficiency of the doors of the Saturn LS as to security and ease of access.

Each OEM Saturn LS Door Latch Assembly we offer is competitively priced and comes with the assurance of the manufacturer's warranty for the part. Furthermore, we guarantee the speedy delivery of your orders right to your doorstep. Our hassle-free return policy is also in place for your peace of mind.

Saturn LS Door Latch Assembly Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and install Door Lock Cylinder,Door Latch Assembly and Door Handle?
A: To remove and install the front and back doors, perform the steps below. Start by raising the window, then detach the door trim panel and water shield. To avoid damaging the paintwork, carefully remove the door handle cover on the outside of the door. Then, remove the door outer panel. Remove rivets and disconnect handle linkage then take out handle mechanism from door. Move forward with door from inside while at it slide it so that you can remove actuating rod from lever of your door handle and pull out front lock rod to disconnect it from latch mechanism. Disconnect actuating rods on each side of latch mechanism from both sides of bolt lower part of jamb on which a door sits. Pull window run channel back down until it is clear of window then release upper weather strip to allow room for upward movement of glass panel. After disconnecting wires from latch mechanism, remove Door Latch Assembly mounting bolts and turn latch mechanism outward through hole in door access opening. If you haven't done so already, take off clip that holds lock cylinder rod in place before removing lock cylinder from within door frame itself. Reinstall in reverse order remembering to replace lock rod retainers after removal is done. For rear doors do this process by raising window first; next remove trim panel and water shield on a door; thirdly get rid of handle covers, outer panels for doors as well as their handles linked to them together with small screws; furthly slide inside a leftward-opening car or truck's bathroom member beneath around such some way indirectly behind between pushing her out beyond your own fingers at their owner's hand; moreover insert your fingers into position against an inwardly-facing rightward-facing one; finally pull forwards past where all those things belong even if out along its path until connected lines snap apart causing front end locks unlocked opening them upwards then unhooking any more electric controls (if necessary) after completely marking location where they are situated around these devices while removing each and every one of them too especially when discharging these assemblies via actuator screws so now bolts attached outside walls near tops including reinstallation procedures involving loosing up retainer clips until sliding back out again following their exits' orders without forgetting about everything else associated throughout lock's construction because that would prevent you from slamming door shut. For the rear door, do the same as described above. First of all, raise the window then take off the door trim panel and water shield. Remove door handle cover, door outer panel, rivets, and handle mechanism. Inside the door, slide the door handle forward and unlatch the actuating rod, then pull out and disconnect the front lock rod. Unhook the door handle actuating rod and remove the bolts from the window run channel. Remove foam insulator, weatherstrip mounting screws and pull rearwardly weather strip out. Disconnect electrical connectors from latch mechanism then mark actuating rods for reinstallation hence remove them. Remove Door Latch Assembly mounting bolts in reverse order then angle latch mechanism out of access hole on a car's entrance; finally replacing any needed lock rod retainers before reassembling everything into place once more if necessary.
  • Q: What is the recommended maintenance schedule for lubricating hinges, latch assemblies, and locks on doors, hood,Liftgate and trunk?
A: Every three months or three thousand miles, pour a little oil or lock lubricant into the hinges and latch assemblies of the doors, hoods, trunks (or liftgates) and simply let them be.
