How to replace the expansion (orifice) tube in the air conditioning system for Pontiac Grand Prix?

To replace the A/C Orifice Tube in the AC system, discharge the system and recover the refrigerant. Disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the air cleaner. Disconnect the high-pressure line near the transaxle to access the A/C Orifice Tube inside the evaporator pipe. Use pliers to remove it, checking its condition. When reinstalling, insert the shorter end towards the evaporator with a new O-ring. Reconnect the refrigerant line and have the system professionally evacuated, recharged, and leak-tested.
