GMC Canyon Evaporator

Evaporator is another mandatory component of the A/C system of GMC Canyon vehicles, which is accountable for cooling the air by expelling heat and converting the fridge refrigerant into vapor. Situated beneath the dash either near the heater core or well under it, the evaporator is composed of aluminum tubes with fins for the illustrated reason of transferring heat from air to the refrigerant. Also, the evaporator is another adsorber, thus eliminating the moisture from the air passing through it, and these gases are expelled out of the vehicle. Also referred to as the air conditioning evaporator, this component of a car's climate control system is subject to replacement because of leaks resulting from the effects of age, fluctuating temperatures, and debris buildup, despite the part being vital to creating the cool and comfortable inside environment in a vehicle.

Each OEM GMC Canyon Evaporator we offer is competitively priced and comes with the assurance of the manufacturer's warranty for the part. Furthermore, we guarantee the speedy delivery of your orders right to your doorstep. Our hassle-free return policy is also in place for your peace of mind.

GMC Canyon Evaporator Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove the Evaporator?
A: To remove the air conditioning system, begin by discharging it and draining the cooling system. Remove the HVAC module assembly and unscrew the halves. Next, take out the mounting screws for the evaporator temperature sensor control module and set it aside. Separate the housing halves and carefully remove the evaporator core, being cautious not to damage the seal. For installation, if a new evaporator core is being used, add 2 oz. of refrigerant oil to it. Then, follow the reverse steps of the removal process. Finally, refill the cooling system and have the system evacuated, recharged, and leak tested.
