Chevrolet Traverse Sway Bar Kit

For instance, the Chevrolet Traverse Sway Bar Kit is an assembly with components of the suspension system on the opposite sides of the vehicle; it works to reduce body roll while cornering but generally improves vehicle stability over surfaces that are uneven. Unlike the ordinary roll bar, this is an anti roll bar that uses torsion spring to increase roll stiffness while at the same time have optimized the vertical spring rate to enhance road grip and less sideways tilt. Adjustable and active anti-roll bars have been incorporated in Chevrolet Traverse vehicles in the past years in different Sway Bar Kits. These advanced systems can change the stiffness of the suspension and therefore the handling and the stability. Even though conventional sway bars can transfer shocks between wheels and make the vehicle waddle on rough surfaces, the latest designs in the market go a notch higher to improve on the general comfort of the Traverse.

Each OEM Chevrolet Traverse Sway Bar Kit we offer is competitively priced and comes with the assurance of the manufacturer's warranty for the part. Furthermore, we guarantee the speedy delivery of your orders right to your doorstep. Our hassle-free return policy is also in place for your peace of mind.

  • Q: How do you remove the front stabilizer bar and link?
A: To remove the sway bar kit, start by loosening the front wheel lug nuts and raising the front of the vehicle on jackstands. Remove the front wheels and unbolt the intermediate driveaxle shaft bracket from the subframe. If it's an all-wheel drive model, remove the rear driveshaft. Detach the sway bar link from the strut or bar by holding the ballstud with a wrench and unscrewing the nut. Then, detach the tie-rod ends from the Steering Knuckle. Support the rear of the subframe with floor jacks and remove the subframe rear reinforcement bolts. Loosen the subframe front reinforcement bolts and the subframe front mounting bolts. Loosen the subframe rear mounting bolts and slowly lower the floor jacks while backing out the rear bolts. Remove the bolts and detach the sway bar kit bushing retainer. Inspect and replace the bushings if necessary. Clean the bushing area of the sway bar kit with a wire brush and lubricate the new bushings with vegetable oil. For installation, reverse the removal steps and tighten the fasteners to the specified torque values. Raise the subframe using floor jacks and tighten the mounting bolts in the proper order. Finally, install the wheels and tighten the lug nuts to the specified torque.
