Q: How do you replace the evaporator core in Chevrolet Trailblazer's cooling system?
A: Drain the cooling system and remove the front HVAC module assembly. Next, remove the screws and separate the HVAC module halves, taking care not to damage the seal. Proceed to remove the evaporator core. If a new evaporator core is being used, add 2 oz. of refrigerant oil. The remaining installation is simply the reverse of the removal process. Once completed, refill the cooling system. Finally, have the system evacuated, recharged, and leak tested.
